Controller


This form is used to add, delete and configure controller(s). Here you can also add, delete and configure reader interface(s), input monitor interface(s) and output controller interface(s). This form helps user to edit details of controller(s), reader interface(s), input monitor interface(s) and output controller interface(s). This configuration is necessary to let the system know positioning of controllers, reader interface in the network.

Controller Details

Basic Details

This window allows user to enter basic details of controller to be added such as Controller ID (the primary key of the controller), IP Address, MAC Address, Host Name, Host IP Address, Port No., Serial No., Controller make (Name of controller).

Set Default Values

Clicking on this button will automatically set the default values of Hot IP Address, Port No. and Controller name for the controller.

Let us see how to configure controllers.
  1. Click on New button to add controller.
  2. Click on button Set Default Values, if required.
  3. Enter numeric value for Controller Id.
  4. Enter Controller IP Address.
  5. Enter MAC Address of the controller. This should be in hexa-decimal format.
  6. Fill the Host Name. Host is the system on which you are running Snehapadma CentralStation Server.
  7. Enter Host IP Address.
  8. Enter Port No. The port number where the Snehapadma CentralStation Server is connected to TCP/IP.
  9. System automatically generates the Controller Serial Number. This number is the last three string of Controller MAC address.
  10. Select Controller make from drop down list. This the type of controller.
  11. Click on Add button to save the entry.
  12. If you want to edit controller's information then select respective controller, click on edit button , make the changes & then click on save button.
  13. Click on refresh button to reload the data from database.
  14. If you want to delete the controller then select respective controller, click on delete button.
  15. Both processes, i.e. adding new entry and editing existing entry, deleting existing entry can be aborted by clicking on Cancel button.
 
 

List of Controllers

As shown in diagram below, this window displays the list of controllers added. It displays the basic details of controller as, Controller ID, IP Address, MAC Address, Host Name and IP Address, Port No., Serial No., Controllermake Id. As well as its last updated date. Initial provisioning (If initial provisioning is done from Snehapadma CentralStation Server, it displays 1 else 0) and emergency alarm (If Emergency alarm check box is ticked, it displays 1 else 0).


Reader Interface

This tab allows user to configure reader interfaces to selected controller.

List of Reader Interfaces attached to Controller

This part of window lists the reader interfaces attached to selected controllers.

Let us see how to add reader interfaces,

  1. Select the controller to which you want to assign reader interface(s).
  2. Select / Click on Reader Interface tab.
  3. Click on New button to add new reader interface.
  4. Enter reader interface id.
  5. It automatically generates Controller Id, Controller Serial number for selected controller.
  6. If Controller HID-V1000 is selected, click in the drop down list to select Reader Interfacemake (Reader Interface name) HID-V100.
  7. If Controller HID-V2000, HID-E400 or HID-ER40 is selected it automatically generates Reader Interfacemake as these controllers has inbuilt reader interfaces.
  8. Click on the Add button to save the entry.
  9. If you want to edit reader interface information then select respective reader interface from list, click on edit button , make the changes & then click on save button.
  10. Click on refresh button to reload the data from database.
  11. If you want to delete the reader interface then select respective reader interface from list, click on delete button.
  12. Both processes, i.e. adding new entry and editing existing entry, deleting existing entry can be aborted by clicking on Cancel button.
Note: You can connect 32 HID-V100 (reader interfaces) to HID-V1000. You cannot add more than 2 reader interfaces to HID-V2000 and more than a single reader interface to HID-ER40 and HID-E400.



Control Panel


  • Click on Edit button to edit selected entry.
  • Both processes, i.e. adding new entry and editing existing entry can be aborted by clicking on Cancel button.
  • Delete button deletes the selected entry.
